Both Lily Collins and Zac Efron give the performances of their careers as Liz Kendall and the infamous American serial killer Ted Bundy, respectively in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile. 1 To the Bone

Mockingbird Pictures

Showing anorexia and eating disorders in general on film is a challenging thing. There are many flaws with the 2017 drama/comedy To the Bone in terms of properly representing what it’s like to live with this terrible life-threatening illness, but that should not take away from the remarkable performance Lily Collins gives in the film. Not only did she undergo a major physical transformation to prepare for the role of Ellen, but she was more authentic and raw in the portrayal than ever. To the Bone may not be Lily Collins’s highest-grossing or well-known project, but it is certainly one of her most meaningful and memorable performances.
