Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 15 – Spring

For the final time in 2022, it is time to have a look at the new Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges that are found in Forza Horizon 5 and this time it is Series 15 Spring that we need to cast our eye over.

It is spring in Mexico, and the weather here is turning decidedly spring-like. But it brings tons of new challenges and so settle down as we check out what is in store, and deliver you the cars and tunes you’ll need in order to complete them.

Part 1: #Forzathon Weekly Challenge – Rise to the Challenge

I hope that the challenge this week involves driving a lot of straight lines, as the subject of the weekly car challenge this time around is the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, the most powerful muscle car in production.

I remember Richard Hammond driving one of these things in an episode of The Grand Tour, and it was very impressive. Not so hot on the corners, but hey, muscle car, right?

If you don’t have one yet, it will set you back 150,000 credits at the Autoshow.

Chapter 1 – Flex Those Muscles

Get in your Demon and exorcise it. Sorry, I’ll get my coat.

Chapter 2 – In the Groove

Remember what I said about going in straight lines? Luckily, all we have to do here is keep the car stock and win an A Class drag race. Easy peasy given the pace off the line of this thing.

Chapter 3 – Power Up

Tune the car to S1 Class and win another drag race.

My tune for this is completely ridiculous, with an obscene 0-60 mph time of a mere 0.8 seconds. The share code is: 627939703. Hold on tight!

As a guide, this ran the same mile long track on the airstrip 5 seconds quicker than stock, despite maxing out 178mph.

Chapter 4 – Limited Edition

The Demon was made in limited numbers, so to celebrate this fact, take a photo of the car. Toughest step yet!

And that is it, weekly challenge complete. Congratulations.

Part 2 – Weekly Challenges

This week, we are at least spared the horror of the Eventlab, leaving us with lots of lovely racing to look forward to. We have The Trial, we have some seasonal championships and PR Stunts, and also some Playground Games to get involved in.

So lets check out what’s on offer, shall we?

The Trial – Holiday Rush

For The Trial this week, as well as the challenge of trying to get a team together that understands the basic concepts of working together (seriously, stop crashing into team mates, guys), we have to use a Hot Hatch car tuned to only a maximum of C Class 600.

Weirdly, these races can sometimes be harder, as while it is easy to pour all the upgrade points into a fast car, with a low ceiling it makes life a bit harder. I went with a car beloved of chavs everywhere, the Vauxhall Corsa VXR, with share code : 997714916.

If we can emerge victorious, with or despite our team, then we can win an Audi TTS.

Playground Games – We 3 Kings

The event this time around is Team King, and if you haven’t tried it, basically there are two cars on each team with crowns at the start of the game. The idea is to protect your kings and steal crowns from the other team, but in a little wrinkle, if you have the crown for too long, it will slow you down.

For this event, we need a S1 Class 900 car, of any flavour, and as most of these events are offroad, I went with an Audi TTS from 2015 – the share code is 162231695.

Win or lose (it doesn’t matter as long as you complete the rounds) we will take away a BMW Z4

Forza Horizon 5 Series 15 Spring TT

Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger Sign – Heights of Mulege

Let’s take to the skies!

To complete this challenge, we need to take an S2 Class 998 car, and jump a distance of over 330m. I chose a BMW X5M Forza Edition, as the approach is offroad, and the share code is: 519084427. Approaching in as straight a line as possible is key here.

A Super Wheelspin will be ours should we fly far enough.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – La Subida

Speed zones means we have to keep an average speed up through the zone, and in this case we have to use an S2 Class 998 car and do a mere 130mph through the zone, offroad. What could go wrong?

I put the same Beemer to work as before, and the share code is the same as well. Cut the corners as much as you can, slide this beast about and you’ll do it.

Another Super Wheelspin will be yours for zooming sufficiently

Seasonal PR Stunt -Trailblazer – Sand and Deliver

We need to take an S2 Class 998 car by the scruff of its neck and fly through the Trailblazer, hitting the finish line with more than 35 seconds on the clock. As it is offroad, the only choice is that same BMW X5M Forza Edition.

I’m not going to lie, this one is tough.

Spending more time with your wheels in contact with the sand seems to be key, so pick your way through the dunes carefully. Staying to the right where the ground is flatter was the way forward for me.

Another Super Wheelspin? Brilliant.

Seasonal Championship – Feliz Navidad

My wife was watching some dodgy film about this song the other day, so all I can hear in my head now is someone singing Feliz Navidad. Thanks Turn10!

Anyway, this championship is for cars from the 2010s, with a restriction only of B Class 700. So, given that the races are on road, I went with a Renault Clio RS200 from 2013, share code : 262870774.

Our prize for winning all the races alone, or best two out of three in a convoy, is a Corvette from 2002.

Seasonal Championship – New Beginnings

Appropriate name for a championship at this time of year, eh?

This time we need to use a Modern Sports Car, tuned to a maximum of A Class 800. Obviously, there is a decent spread of cars that could be used for this, and I ended up going with a Toyota GR Supra, and my share code is 984217186.

Our prize for success is a Cadillac ATS-V. One of the more ridiculous American cars, if you ask me. Or even if you don’t.

Seasonal Championship – Down for the Countdown

Anyone would think it was nearly New Years Eve!

This time around, take a Pickup or 4X4 class car, sprinkle a little tuning pixie dust to take it to C Class 600, and try to win the races. The car I chose was a F-150 SVT Raptor from 2011, and the share code is : 139383916.

If you’re going to go pickup, it has to be an F-150, right?

Winning will get us a Jaguar F-Pace. Like an i-Pace, but with an actual engine.

Part 3 – Other Challenges

Photo time! In addition to finding and snapping a snowman, we have to also take part in some Horizon Tour Co-op championships, and that is it. Slim picking this time around it seems.

Photo Challenge -#HIDEANDSEEK

This time, the naughty snowman is hiding out at our house in Buena Esperanza, near Ek’Balam.

All we need to do is snap a photo of it to complete this challenge. As you drive into the property, the snowman is cunningly hidden just on the right as you drive in, on a balcony.

I will include my shot and also the location below. For doing this, we will get a Sad Snowman Head in return. If you wanted to make your snowman ensemble sad, now you can.

Horizon Tour – Co-op Events

In the mood for some jolly cooperation? Well, I hope so, as you need to in order to finish the list this week.

I can’t recommend you a tune for this as every event is different, but dive in, have fun and it’ll be over before you know it.

You will only win 3 points towards the weekly cars, but you’ll have the warm glow of having had fun with others.

Part 4 – Hot Wheels Events

Make sure that you have reached the Elite rank in the Hot Wheels expansion before trying to do these events. Once you have, crack on…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger Sign – Ice Crash

You know the score with these by now.

Get in an S2 Class 998 car, zoom to the ramp and soar further then the seasonal target, which this week is a truly ridiculous 600m.

I went with my go to car for these things, the Koenigsegg Agera, and the share code is: 409466764.

Another Super Wheelspin will be ours if we fly far enough.

Forza Horizon 5 Series 15 Spring Agera

Seasonal Championship – By the Fire

Sports Utility Heroes, tuned to a maximum of A Class 800 are the order of the day here. As always, the answer is a Bentley Bentayga, mainly as when we are sat in it we don’t have to look at it!

My share code is:118484657.

We will win a Mercedes X Class pickup for our trouble.

Series 15 comes to an end with the Spring challenges, and you should well have earned yourself enough points for a few cars. Spring itself gifts the AMC Rebel and the Porsche 911C2 GW, whilst the Series itself drops you the No. 22 Extreme E for 80pts and the Ferrari Cali T for 160pts. If you’ve been following our guides for the Series, you should have those in the bag by now.

Should you be needing extra points, make sure you take in the Monthly Rivals events too; clean laps around both the Estadio Circuit and/or the Arch of Mulege Circuit (Forza EV) are the order of the day. Of course, you’ve then got the plethora of Daily Challenges to take in too.

Series 16 is next up and this time next week we’ll have a guide and tunes to help you complete what is in place for Summer of Series 16. Expect the #FORDzathon to bring new cars, collectibles, challenges and events.

As ever, if you want to take part in the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you need a copy of Forza Horizon 5 in your digital library. You’ll find that playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S or PC, via the Xbox Store, either for cash or through Game Pass.

As always, we’d love to hear what you think of this article. The comments are below and we’re always waiting over on the usual social channels.
