The middle of the month means a couple of things for Game Pass. It’s announcement time, and that means more games will soon be added to the slate for the remainder of January (you can be sure that we will update you of those as and when they’re revealed). But it also means that games leave the service, making way for the ones that come in, almost on a one-for-one basis.

This means that, today, the following games are unavailable for you to play, although they are still on the Microsoft Store for a reduced price for Game Pass subscribers: Desperados III (Cloud, Console, and PC), Ghost of a Tale (PC), Kingdom Hearts III (Console), Mount & Blade: Warband (Cloud, Console, and PC), Pandemic (Console and PC) and Yiik: A Postmodern RPG (PC).

Desperados III and Kingdom Hearts III will likely be the biggest misses for many of you. Hopefully you had a chance to 100% Gamerscore them before they went.

So, which games are incoming? We know a few things from various announcements, even though the official Game Pass announcement hasn’t fully arrived.

On January 18th, we will be welcoming Nobody Saves The World (Console and PC), which is the next game from the Guacamelee devs Drinkbox Studios. It’s a Zelda-like, but with the sweet benefit of shapeshifting. If you’ve never emptied a dungeon while transformed into an Egg or Horse then the 18th will be your chance. We have our review readied for that one.

On January 20th Game Pass unleashes Pupperazzi (Console and PC), Windjammers 2 (Console and PC), Rainbow Six Extraction (Console and PC), Rainbow Six Siege (Console and PC) and the Hitman Trilogy (Console and PC).

The 20th will create one of 2022’s first great dilemmas: which game do you start with first? Do you hit the nostalgia vein with the Hitman Trilogy, bringing 2016’s Hitman, 2018’s Hitman 2, and 2021’s Hitman 3? Or do you clear the decks for some high-concept Rainbow Sixing with Extraction? Frankly, it’s a nice decision to have.

And let’s not underestimate Pupperazzi, a game that lets you photograph dogs. We know! We want to play it too. Again, we have a review readied for that one, alongside Rainbow Six Extraction, so expect us to be on the ball and presenting you with our views on day one.

Have a mighty good rest of the month, and let us know what you will be playing (or not playing, in the case of the removed games) in the comments and on social. Adios!
