New PS5 DualSense Controller Colors Out on PlayStation Direct Today

PS4 & PS5

As previously announced, new PS5 controller colors are available starting today. The galaxy-inspired colors – Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple – can currently only be purchased via PlayStation Direct. While Nova Pink and Starlight Blue will be available elsewhere towards the end of this month, Galactic Purple won’t hit other stores until February 11th.

How much do the new PS5 controller colors cost?

You’ll find the galaxy colors at the US PlayStation Direct website for $74.99 each, and at the UK store for £64.99 each. Due to high demand, purchase is limited to one controller per color per customer in the US and two controllers per order in the UK until supplies last.

Folks in the US can also redeem a free shipping offer that’s only valid until March 31st. With any video game or accessory purchase, you’ll get standard shipping at no additional cost.

When can I purchase the new PS5 covers?

The Midnight Black and Cosmic Red PS5 covers will first go on sale on PlayStation Direct on January 21st. Sony previously said that they’ll be available in a number of countries via participating retailers starting later this month. However, both the UK and US PlayStation Direct websites mention a general release date of February 18, 2022.

There’s currently no word on when the Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue PS5 covers will become available on PlayStation Direct but Sony has said that they’ll be available everywhere during the first half of 2022.

We’ll update our readers when we have more information so stay tuned.

In other news, Respawn Entertainment’s unannounced game lost a creative director but is still in development, and multiplayer first-person shooter LEAP has been confirmed for the PS5 and PS4.
