We’re well used to the Xbox Game Pass providing players with a host of new experiences each and every month, with hyped releases complemented well with surprise drops onto the scheme. As June 2021 begins to draw to a close, three new titles roll out onto the Game Pass system, letting players get involved with them for free. And if you have ever wanted to feel the Need for Speed, Hot Pursuit Remastered is leading the way.
One day, three games, zero asking price. That’s all the Xbox Game Pass is delivering today and once more Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC players are finding the opportunity to throw themselves into some all-new experiences for absolutely no payout, with three new additions rolling out on this one day – June 24th.
We feel that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is the headline act here as we join the thrill of the chase and get behind the wheel of some of the hottest, fastest cars in existence. Having release on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S back in November 2020, with our full review singing high praises, Hot Pursuit Remastered brings together everything that was great about the original NFS: Hot Pursuit from back in the day, and slaps a whole ton of new shiny paint on for an even fuller effect.
This is pretty much the ultimate edition of Criterion’s masterpiece and when you consider all the main DLC is also included, along with the power of the Autolog and should you be in the market for a chase and escape title, this is it.
In fact, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is right up there with the very best Need for Speed titles that have ever been created and so getting involved in the Remastered version via the power of Xbox Game Pass (and EA Play/Access for that matter) is one you shouldn’t be ignoring.
Further to that though and a couple of additional games join the system – at least if you’re a PC player. Yep, Game Pass isn’t just about Xbox console players and should you be of the keyboard and mouse inclination, you’ll also find that the real-time strategy of Iron Harvest and the visually stunning retro shooting Prodeus are both joining today too. The latter of these makes the most of Game Preview for good measure.
With further games due to hit the Xbox Game Pass on July 1st – think of a bit of Banjo-Kazooie, Bug Fables, Gang Beasts, Limbo and more (we’ll be sure to detail all these as the day arrives) – the Xbox Game Pass subscription continues to be a no-brainer.
Of course though, its very nature does mean that some games must leave the scheme every now and then and come June 30th 2021 all of Battle Chasers: Nightwar (Cloud, Console, and PC), Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (Cloud, Console, and PC), Mistover (PC), Monster Hunter World (Cloud and Console), Out of the Park Baseball 21 (PC), Outer Wilds (Cloud and Console), Soulcalibur VI (Console) and The Messenger (Cloud, Console, and PC) all leave – at least for now.
As always let us know which Game Pass titles you are playing at the moment by dropping in to the comments below these words. And if you’re joining the cops ‘n’ robbers race with NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered, hit us up – we’ll give anyone a race on those mean streets.
