Chris Diamantopoulos discusses voicing Steve Trevor in JUSTICE SOCIETY: WORLD WAR II video interview

Comic News

The new DC Comics animated direct-to-video movie Justice Society: World War II was released on Digital last week. Be sure to read The Beat‘s interview with the cast and crew here. Today, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment released a new video interview with Chris Diamantopoulos, the voice of Steve Trevor.

Diamantopoulos is no stranger to DC animated productions with past roles as Aquaman in Harley Quinn and Green Arrow in both Justice League Action and the Batman Unlimitedfranchise. He is active in live action and animation films and television series with a starring role in the upcoming Netflix film Red Notice (opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Gal Gadot & Ryan Reynolds) as well as notable turns in Silicon Valley, Episodes and 24. Diamantopoulos is also a regular on American Dad!Invincible and as the voice of Mickey Mouse for various Walt Disney Studios productions.

Watch the three interview bites (tied together) of Chris Diamantopoulos chatting about voicing the resolute, passionate, archetypal hero; Steve Trevor’s devotion to and love for Wonder Woman; and the unique joy of playing the only protagonist in the film without super powers.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC, the feature-length animated Justice Society: World War II is now available via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital, and coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack and Blu-ray on May 11, 2021.

Justice Society: World War II finds modern-day Barry Allen – prior to the formation of the Justice League – discovering he can run even faster than he imagined, and that milestone results in his first encounter with the Speed Force. The Flash is promptly launched into the midst of a raging battle – primarily between Nazis and a team of Golden Age DC Super Heroes known as The Justice Society of America. Led by Wonder Woman, the group includes Hourman, Black Canary, Hawkman, Steve Trevor and the Golden Age Flash, Jay Garrick. The Flash quickly volunteers to assist his fellow heroes in tipping the scales of war in their favor, while the team tries to figure out how to send him home. But it won’t be easy as complications and emotions run deep in this time-skipping World War II thriller.
