Fall Guys working on patch to fight connection problems

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout developer Mediatonic has said it is actively working on a patch to tackle connection issues.

The recent launch of Fall Guys was remarkably successful, having reached 120k concurrent players on its first day. Since then, it has been announced that over 1.5 million new players logged into Fall Guys in its first 24 hours of being available.

However, many players have reported connection issues, likely due to the immense traffic populating the servers. The official Fall Guys Twitter page addressed this earlier today, noting that a patch is currently in the works.

“When we say Fall Guys is experiencing a lot of traffic… We had over 1.5 million new players in the first 24 hours,” reads the tweet. “We’re working on our first patch for the game, listening to all of your feedback and ideas, and are super grateful to everyone who’s supported so far.”

The tweet is accompanied by a cutesy thank you image with two of Fall Guys’ klutzy beans giving you a big, grateful wave. This kind of thing has become somewhat synonymous with the game’s Twitter page, which is filled to the brim with memes befitting the fun-filled nature of the game.

My favourite is this one, which refers to the page’s recent verification.

“Wait, Fall Guys is verified?” it says, employing the meme of someone realizing something and someone wiser standing behind them, noting that obviously they already knew that obvious fact. Obviously.

“Always has bean.” Bean!

Want to give Fall Guys a whirl for yourself? If so, good news: It’s currently free as part of the PS Plus August bundle, meaning that all PS Plus subscribers can join in on the fun without spending a cent.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is also available as part of the same bundle – although it’s important to note that it’s just the remastered campaign. The iconic multiplayer isn’t included.
